This is a contest entry for our Sin City club :iconcars-guns-babes: Starring your favorite ugly bad-ass, Marv.

I was thinking to myself, what could be more deadly than Marv with an axe. Then it hit me: Marv with a lightsaber!

Ok, it's a stupid idea, but it was fun to draw. Base drawing I made with ink on A4 copierpaper. Colors and FX added in Photoshop CS2.

I really like the idea that you have here. Unfortunately, I am going to have to disagree with you in that, considering that this is Marv, an axe IS more deadly. The lightsaber would be waaay too clean for Marv's tastes. Also it makes perfect sense for Marv to be a Sith; not because he is evil. He is actually a good guy. He just does whatever it takes to do what needs to be done, which sometimes includes doing really horrible and gruesome things in order to accomplish what needs to be done things. That is why he would be an awesome Sith.

Yup, you're absolutely right about the axe thing, now that I think of it. I just figured it'd be cool to do a crossover piece for the contest. Hence the lightsaber.

Do yourself and the whole world a favor and go rent it right away! You hear me?! Right now!!! Or download it. Or borrow it. However you want.

You won't find a more perfect comic book adaptation for the big screen. It's damn right beautiful work.
