It's Final Fantasy time once again. Next one of my FF6 fan-art characters is the dream bachelor of Figaro castle, Edgar. There's no other guy who can get it on with the ladies, with pick-up lines like: Hey baby! You wanna ride on my sand-diving castle?

One of the more useful characters in the game. Not as tough as his brother but useful in other ways. He was surprisingly fun to draw. Took me about 7 hours(wow was it that long!?).

Ink on copierpaper. Colors in Photoshop CS2.

Comment to the comment above: He is supposed to be buff and a bit masculine according to Amano's concept art no? (esp. the one where he poses with the crossbow). I think you did that well in this piece!

I don't know if Amano meant him as really buff, but I kinda figured I should do him that way.

Thanks. I thought he should be a bit more buff and masculine since he is one of the powerhouses of the game after all. Still tried to retain some of that pretty boy noble dandy shit with the posture.

The problem with the chainsaw is the instant death factor. Most of the more important battles where you'd like to use the chainsaw, the monsters are immune to instant death. Bugs the hell out of me.

But yeah, Edgar's my favourite FF character, so I'm digging this one. Looks great!

There aren't that many Edgar picture around, so it was enjoyably to see one ^^.
I really like how you make the hair blow, (and the way you draw it).
And I agree with Ade350125 that it does look like he's in the sunlight (what kinda fit with Edgar, since he live in the middle of the desert).
Fav* ^^ (it deserve it, really)...
