Haven't posted anything for a while so I thought I'd post something I'm working on.
This is part of a series of pictures I'm doing for a game intro. The game is school project of mine I'm doing in Flash and it's based on the destruction of the roman city of Pompeii.
It depicts Mars, the roman god of war before he became associated with battles. Few know that before becoming the revered god of battles, Mars was mostly associated with nature and agriculture.
Done with ink marker on paper. Colored and textured in photoshop. Texture from a photo from Pompeii taken by anonymous student in my school.
