It is finally complete! My first Metal Gear fan-art ever. It's based on the first MG games that came out on nintendo and the fact that they used famous actors as a reference to make the pixel game sprites. They didn't even try to cover up the similarities back then so I didn't either. This was a fun concept to play around and I found it quite easy to find reference pics. At least two of my reference pics were the same they used back then. The metal gear blueprints in the background are from MG2 game manual(no I didn't draw them).
For those who don't know the characters they are from top clockwise: Big Boss. The main bad-ass. Solid Snake. He's the hero. Toughest commando of them all. Gray Fox. Good guy turned bad-guy. Before he donned the cyber-ninja suit in MGS. Colonel Roy Campbell. Snake's commanding officer.
Too bad this kind of movie will probably never be made. I think the actors are starting to get too old. I've heard rumors of a Metal Gear movie, but how that will turn out, only time will tell.
Lost track of how long this took. Done in Illustrator and Photoshop.
EDIT 15.04.2009: Now available in higher resolution with download. Remember that all things portrayed in the picture are copyrighted to Konami, so no violating of the laws now ok.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
